Artist Biography:

I have loved ceramics ever since I was exposed to it in high school. When my husband and I moved to Midland 5 years ago we took the opportunity to set up a studio in our garage and we’ve been creating there ever since. Most of my pieces are thrown on the wheel but I have started to experiment with hand-built pieces. I work as a sonographer full-time during the week but my weekends are focused on ceramics.

Description of Artwork:

I mainly throw my pieces on a pottery wheel. I have started to hand-build larger platters using slabs of clay. I focus on functional pieces that I hope can bring a little joy into someone else's home.
