How to have a successful artist table at the Midland Art Crawl:

Arrive on Time

The Art Crawl is from 6 PM-9 PM each time. You will receive an email about which venue you will be at for the evening based on your form submission.

On the day of the crawl, plan on arriving at 5 PM. This will give you enough time for you to check in with the staff, set up your table, and have a chance to mingle with the venue and the other artists.

As much as this is a place to showcase your own art, we want it to be an opportunity to meet,  mix, and mingle with other local artists. While you might walk away with a few sales and contacts, you might walk away with a new art bestie too!

Supply Checklist

Of course, you want to be sure to bring your art, but also don’t forget your table, a table cloth, a chair, and anything else you will need for displaying your art.

Keep the table between 6 and 8 feet, but when it comes to spicing up your space, the options are endless.

Marketing Materials

Along with bringing your art, it’s best to bring some takeaway materials to give to the crawlers that visit the venue and your table.

We suggest including your first, your business name, a good phone number, your art offerings, and where to find you on social media.

Live Demonstration

If you’re able to, in the past Art Crawls, artists had live demonstrations of their art during the crawl. Whether you work on a piece that is in progress or you are just sketching, let the Art Crawlers have a behind-the-scenes look at your art.

Shop

While the Midland Art Crawl is for displaying and showcasing your art offerings, you are welcome to sell any of the art you create during the Crawl. As the artist, you are responsible for the sales made as well as collecting payment.

Be sure to have a point of sale system ready when you make your first sale. If you use third-party apps for payment collection, some artists found it to be helpful to have a QR code that links to all the spots they can collect payment from.

Portfolio

To start off, you of course need to bring your art along with you to the crawl. If you have large pieces, some artists took pictures of their art and displayed them in a printed book for crawlers to flip through.

Showcase whatever you’re most proud of, your best-selling pieces, or curation of all of your art.

Mix & Mingle

The Midland Art Crawl is a place to showcase your art, but one thing we will always focus on is community.

Be sure to enjoy the evening and enjoy the Midland community during the Midland Art Crawl. Make a new friend, make a new customer, and make lots of memories.
